The reasons for an Eco-Car Forum

Welcome to ecocarforum.com, a website for everyone.

I've always liked going on a trip and experiencing the freedom when on the road or off the beaten track. And I still do today. As a young boy I spent many hours with my hiking boots going to numerous unspoiled alpine regions. In my teenage years I covered great distances on my bicycle and I also made my first experiences with motorized transport driving self-built experimental vehicles.
More recently I drove cars, motorcycles and got a pilots licence.

The beauty of our planet becomes in many ways apparent but even more when you have the privilege to fly over it. The more I traveled the more I became aware of the need to change our habits if we wanted to ensure an intact environment for future generations. I realized that we have to use natural resources much more efficiently, and if we wanted to do this, changes would be necessary in many areas of our life. Road transport is one of them and I strongly support the idea that we have to work on more sustainable ways of getting from A to B.

When the TWIKE was introduced in the late nineties to the public, I spontaneously went for a test drive near Basel, Switzerland. Very impressed of its performance and efficiency, I became a supporter and sympathizer immediately.

Besides the TWIKE there are many other vehicles on the road or in development which are far more energy-efficient than  the average car today.
The forums on this website are designed to provide a professional platform for discusssions involving greener cars for a better future.

I do hope you find the forums useful and I would love to hear your feedback.
