Thank You Stefan for putting the classified back up. Iamian, I'm open to offers, even mutually beneficial exchanges. It would be nice to see the Twike back out on the road. I just never know how far I'll be traveling when I leave in the morning, or if I'll even be coming back to the same home or staying at another one! Childress, It was interesting reading your account of Kent Hermsmeyer's Twikes. I was one of the people who contacted the Oregon Attorney General's office based on him telling me the Twike was to be fitted with batteries he was installing which were as good as new ones. They lasted One (1) hour. That is why I had to buy the new set from Germany at a cost of $4600. Sent my boards over to them to get repaired, and they made a stab at it. Ended up having a retired NASA engineer who lives up the road from me, do the fix and it is operational. So I've not had huge warm fuzzies with the boys in Germany. Now for the rest of you. If you are interested in building something this side of the pond which will compete with the concept of the Twike, contact me. I've talked to one of my legislators and she will help get connections made which will put an assembly plant here in Arkansas if we can get a good enough proposal and prototype put together, but the most likely candidate looks to me like the Aptera. Except it doesn't have pedals. But those could be added to give some means of exercise while traveling cross country. Chow Loren |

I've talked about it with the wife... first when it was first posted and again here when it re-posted... while we would both eventually like to get something Twike like... It just isn't good timing for us for the next ~2 years to be adding a car payment to our list of bills ... and I don't know what kind of mutually beneficial exchange would be fair for you... As much as I greatly enjoy my ~9 year old Honda Insight, I doubt even that would be enough ... currently would likely sell for less than $5,000 ... so I don't know what I could offer that would make a fair exchange for you. So, I wish you the best of luck... and when I can I'll point other people in your direction. If for some reason no one else comes along in ~2 years... maybe I will see how things stand then. As long as you are offering a test drive you'll be on my list for a vacation destination as well... of course I'll message first to see if the timing and such is good for you... but who knows ... you might end up selling it to someone before I get that chance to even get out there.
