The development and testing of the Aptera 2e is well on track and delivery is still expected for the 4th quarter of this year.

In the mean time more details about the battery pack have emerged during marketing events.

Marques McCammon from Aptera Motors confirmed there will be one battery pack offering. According Aptera a 100 mile range is achievable under anything but the most extreme conditions. Higher mileages can be expected in everyday conditions. The battery back is expected to come with a 5 year/60'000 miles warranty and capacity should remain above 90%. The 2e can be recharged using 110 or 220V and using the fastest available charging mode it would take approximately 2+ hours. (that is when using 440V....

Can you buy an Aptera with 100 mile range for $25k? According to Aptera, yes.

Here's the pavement strike...

Aptera can be forgiven for this - they're undoubtedly still working on things like suspension stiffness, etc.

Aptera has gone into a liquidation process.

This is what Chris Anthony - Founder - Aptera, Epic EV, Flux Power, announced on the unofficial ApteraForum:

Because Aptera has no spokesman now, and there has been no communication on what will happen post closing, I feel it is important for me to clear the air a bit.

Aptera has closed its doors and has been placed into a trust with a very well respected Managed Liquidation Company. Their responsibility is to maximize the value of the remaining assets for the benefit of debt and share holders. There are no employees at Aptera and no Board of Directors. Everything that is Aptera, in terms of assets and IP, are now held by the Managed Liquidation Company.

This process to establish how the liquidation will occur has begun, but will take several weeks to be fully defined. Eventually, the assets will be auctioned off to the highest bidder to do with what they choose. The Managed Liquidation Company will come forth with details once available and I will make sure those details are made available on the Forum as soon as they are released.

It is the responsibility of the managed liquidation company to protect Aptera's assets and maximize their value now. They were there when the doors were closed and hold the only access to these assets now.

Nothing will be destroyed, taken away, or otherwise impacted in a way that value will be decreased.

In an effort to inform others passionate about the preservation of our dream of efficient transportation, I will contact various media outlets to inform them of this process as well.
