With the Tesla almost ready for its release, what is GM doing about it? The Volt is not really the right answer to the Tesla, so I wonder who is challenging Tesla Motors? Twike 890

I was just reading Martin's blog and apparently what Bob Lutz (GM) told him in a meeting about a year ago is that: The Volt is a direct response to the Tesla Roadster! I am curious what other green initiatives the launch of thsese two cars will trigger... Twike 890

I would say only if they could get it to work on the kappa platform with the sky/solstice. Having to make a whole new platform for only 1 car with limited sales would cost way to much in developement to make it worth while. NICK
