I've been a hybrid driver since '04 when I purchased a Honda Civic Hybrid. I was so impressed that I purchased another (Dec '07 model) as the 04 had over 160,000 Km travel. I am currently seriously looking at replacing the 07 as I find it a little under powered compared to my first hybrid. I've looked at the insight and found it a disappointment with a cheap finish. I like the camry hybrid but the vehicle is a little large for my liking. A Hybrid Corolla (Auris) would suit me fine but Toyota has deemed in their infinite wisdom not to offer this vehicle in Australia. I'm expected to purchase a Prius if I'm after a hybrid in this group/class/size. The prius does not appeal to my taste hence why I initially purchased the honda. So I awaite to see what is around the corner. Honda has circulated an email to announce the introduction of the CR-Z next month here in Australia. A Manual Hybrid but a two door.
