Mitsubishi has officially announced the launch of its first EV with left hand steering in Europe. The production will start in October 2010 can be ordered with immediate effect. The cars should be ready for delivery in December 2010. The price has been set around 35'000 Euros (depending on country of delivery I guess) including a 5-year warranty for battery and other related components. Mitsubishi is also offering an option to lease the car for around 450 Euro a month. It would be nice if Mitsubishi would offer buyers options to power the car by renewable energy by selling such contracts in collaboration with energy providers. e-Mobility is great, but we should not make the mistakes of the past and power them with renewable energy only. What do you think? Should car makers promote renewable energy more actively by offering such contracts? Or should this be left to the customer? |
