I am looking to buy an electric car but I am worried about the plug. There are two main reasons why. First, I am worried that I will forget to unplug it before I leave the house. Is this a common mistake? Any way to avoid it? Second, I have kids and I am worried about them running around and tripping over the plug, thus ruining the plug and hurting themselves. Has anyone else run into this problem? Thank you for the feedback and advice. |

The Twike will not change into driving mode if the charging cable is not plugged back into the socked inside the vehicle -- I would imagine most EV's and PHEV's are designed similarly -- if not, I wouldn't buy it. My kiddos aren't allowed to play in the garage -- a lot more things that are more dangerous than an electric cord... and the cords themselves run along the floor. If you're really worried about it, you could run a cord down from the ceiling, of course then they could potentially hang themselves on it, or use it for a swing ANy vehicle that requires a special plug/circuit (anything beyond a standard household 3-prong) is going to be hard to sell -- there are more 'filling stations' for the Twike thank for a gas car Commute suck? Twike it; You'll like it!
