Here is a link I have found on the web if you are interested in converting your car to an EV or consider buying a new converted vehicle:

Do you know of any other companies making conversions?

Pacific Northwest North America electric conversions for cars and trucks

The broader discussion is: how do you convert your oil-based dollars to non-oil based dollars? I bet the oil companies are or will start to think about this. There's only so much wealth you can create from a barrel of oil.

The best in the World is ACPropulsion. They make the eBox from a scion xB. They also made some T-Zeros. Their license technology is used in the Tesla.

I'm waiting to see what they offer next. (the xB got 500 lbs heavier) I'd love a FITe or YarisE that would be a little more my price range than the eBox at about 55K plus you xB. It is 100% electric, has air cond, 100+ range and even V2G.

I would like to add a few more links for our friends in the US. Most of them sell EV parts or kits to convert your car.

From their website: The main goal of Metric Mind Engineering is to promote EVs and make available to the end users the most advanced EV components manufactured for EV OEM industry by world leading suppliers.

http://grassrootsev.com/cpacks.htm
From their website: The Grassroots Electric Vehicle Company's mission is to help people convert from gas powered vehicles to electric. We offer information to drivers on how they can benefit by owning and commuting in an electric vehicle.

http://www.evsource.com/tls_kits.php
From their website: EV Source was founded in January of 2005 because of a vision to provide better goods and services to the alternative transportation and energy markets.

http://e-volks.com/
From their website: Home of the True EV Car Kits, and completed electric cars! We specialize in electric car conversions, converting innefficient, polluting gasoline cars to clean, efficient electric vehicles that can be charged with renewable fuels in a hybrid fashion or off-the-grid via solar charging stations at home.

Does anyone have experience with these folks? Good or bad?
