Their company is based on Guernsey, an island in the English Channel. The Guernsey Smart EV is capable of 60 mph and has a range of up to 65 miles. It has regenerative braking and is a perfect companion for city traffic or as commuter vehicle. The Electric Smart is expected for 2010. Source Sustainable Business On top of that Mercedes Manager Dieter Zetsche also announced a Mercedes running on electricity only by 2010.
