Hey what's up? I'm Paul and I work for MWKS - we're currently partnered with Nissan to spread the word about the North American debut of the Nissan Cube. We're providing people with the opportunity to see the car before it hits dealerships in 2009 through these first-look photos. I've included the brand new pics below, and feel free to use or share them however you'd like. I tried contacting some mods here to make sure it's alright to share this material with you guys, but never heard back, so hope it's cool with you guys. ![]() ![]() We're excited about the arrival of this new fuel-efficient compact car. You can see more official pictures and a teaser vid at www.facebook.com/pages/Nissan-Cube/17987996866?ref=ts or visit NissanUSA.com/cube if you're into it. So what are your first-impression thoughts of the car? |

Hi Paul! Welcome to the Green car Network... Sorry for not answering your PM so quickly. The work is eating me up at the moment...! It's okay to post here as long as it is in relation to an ongoing dicussion or about greener cars in general. The question here is: When is Nissan selling the first electric Cube? To find this out I've googled and came across this: http://www.conceptcarz.com/vehicle/z15160/Nissan-Denki-Cube-Concept.aspx Nissan has plans to go greener. Here is what they plan to do: • Incorporating CO2 reduction as one of the key management performance indicators. • Launch a 'three-liter car' with a target of 2010; a gasoline-fueled car that runs 100 kilometers on three liters of fuel. • Expand availability of Flexible Fuel Vehicles (FFV) within the next three years. • Launch a Nissan electric vehicle early in the next decade. • Develop an original Nissan hybrid vehicle targeted for launch in FY2010. • Accelerate development of plug-in hybrid technology. • By 2010, reduce CO2 emissions from global manufacturing plants by 7% (per unit) compared to 2005. To the Cube itself... Its a shape you have to get used to, but it looks quite practical. Not so good is its aerodynamic appearance. The front looks more like a the main door of a garage. Ouch! Not good if you are a pedestrian or on a bicycle! The cube is expected to get 30mpg+ Not very impressive either. Ther are better choices today. |
