There has been a spate of articles recently on how the economic downturn is making it hard for "green" startup companies to get investments, and how the dropping price of oil is taking some of the urgency away from developing renewable energy sources. Same here where I come from. The focus has shifted. Most people are now concerened about their own money and issues like clean energy are positioned low on their priority list. It's to some degree understandable, but I hope we, the governments and the people, do act not shortsighted and keep their promises. The development of clean energy projects might be delayed due to the current crisis, but we still have lots of room to improve regarding efficiency. And many of these measures are low-cost or even free. Cheers Stefan |
