Hello all...
I was thinking lately about developing an international EV charging point database. As you know there are several such sites already on the internet. Some of them more useful than others. One of the best and well known is the one used in Central Europe:
http://www.lemnet.org
(edited by moderator Franko30 - LEMnet has its own domain now.)

LEMnet has the downside that it is all in German. The UK also has a similar website, but it is by far less populated with entries and you need to be a member to look up charging points. Downside: too restrictive.
http://www.ev-network.org.uk

In the US, the problem seems to be the size, most lists available only cover a certain state or city area.

The future:
Such a database might become unnecessary as sockets become available everywhere ...(maybe I am dreaming now...)
Charging points might loose a bit of their importance as range of cars increases...

What are your thoughts about developing such a feature? Worth investing the time and would it be useful?
Are you happy with the internet sites offering such lists? What do you miss on them?
I would like to have some feedback before investing hours into such a project. Your help is much appreciated.

Cheeers,
Stephen
