France wants to go one step further on its way to promote electric mobility. After granting max. 5000 Euro for buying an electric vehicle, the french government wants to support the builing of a charging infrastructure. From 2012 onward it will be mandatory to have sockets for electric cars when building new residential areas. From 20105 onwards company car parks will also be required to be equipped with charging facilities. Sounds all very nice but France has to clean up its electric grid too, which is a mostly nuclear at the moment.... |
