It's official: Tesla to supply batteries for Daimler's electric Smart

The German edition of the Financial Times today has a story on the expansion of Daimler's test fleet of battery powered Smarts from London into Berlin and other cities. In the story, it reveals that Tesla will be supplying batteries for the 150 cars that will be deployed in Berlin.

Thanks for the update! Interesting news...but as long as TM keeps quiet its only 'half-official' in my opinion. icon_biggrin.gif
But since there is a link between the two companies, its hard to believe that it isn't true...No comment is usually a yes. At least they didn't deny it icon_wink.gif
