The new Hotzenblitz is according the manufacturer (TreffpunktZukunft)ready for production and should go on sale in 2008. Details of the car can be found on this pdf (english).

The new Hotzenblitz has a range of 80km/120km or 400km depending on the type of battery and sells for 10'000 - 18'900 Euros depending on battery type.

If the price remains unchanged and the concept proofs to be reliable, then this is certainly a car which has a bright future.

Whats your opinion about it?

I wonder whether the name of the car is changed for its rebirth?

Wow - that maybe is the worst product information sheet I've ever seen!

And - btw - I only believe it when they actually sold their first car. The Hotzenblitz was announced to be ready for production so often in the past (without production actually starting) and the company Treffpunkt Zukunft has such a ridiculous website that I would never give them money in advance...

Cheers

Frank

Hey Frank,

You're absolutely right. The pdf factsheet is not up to standard. A pity, because the car itself looks quite attractive.
A lot of potential buyers will think twice before spending the money on it.

Another open question is: Will the batteries last long enough? If I recall it correctly they are using LiPo battery packs which have a high energy density, but low life expectancy = expensive...
