Auto maker Tesla Motors has seen an output of 109 Roadsters in July 2009. It is also planned to expand further in Europe after the first European Store has opened in London not long ago.
The original Roadster has received an interior facelifting and is now marketed as Roadster 2 with improved performance, better AC, more comfy seats and a more attractive dashboard.

Hey Tesla Drivers, whats it like to drive the Roadster, how does it perform in your daily use. Tell us about it. icon_smile.gif

On Sunday i was at the RWE-Electromobility-Roadshow in Düsseldorf. Beside going 260 km on my Alleweder (Saturday and Sunday...), i drove a segway, a vectrix and was driven in a E-Lotus, witch is something like the prototype of the tesla. 50 kWh in the Batteries, 150 kWh of power, still a mechanical gearschift, but for normal driving only second gear is needed.
Also a tesla 1.5 and a tesla 2.0 were there for testrides on the passanger seat, but i did not get one of these rides. It is said, that the tesla goes quite a lot better than the lotus, but already the lotus has a good perfomance. Acceleration did not feel so extraordinary, but looking at the speed showed 0 to 100 km/h in less than 5 seconds, even though it was going uphill!
From several sides i heared, the 50 kWh of Batteries (almost 500 kg!) are realistic sufficiant for 380 km, but ofcourse at 120 km/h, not at racing speed...

So for what i have seen, the concept performs well regarding speed and range, but of course i consider the concept to be useless for everyday transportation...
