A Swiss initiated the project 'icare' earlier this year and he is planning to circumnavigate the world in a modified TWIKE in 2010. The vehicle gets its power from solar cells mounted on a trailer attached to the Twike. During stops a mobile wind turbine will additionally produce electricity to power the vehicle. At the moment only the french version of the project website is online, english to follow soon: http://www.projet-icare.ch/home.html If you are willing to help this project you will find the necessary informations on his website. Sponsoring is one thing, but as far as I know he is also still looking for help in other areas. Check out his route, he might stop nearby your home |

Google translate is really pretty decent translator for websites. This link will give you an English translation, but at the top you can change it to whatever language you desire: http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.projet-icare.ch%2Fprojet.html&sl=fr&tl=en&hl=en&ie=UTF-8 Commute suck? Twike it; You'll like it!
