FineMobile, the Twike manufacturer has signed a Letter of Intent to compete for the Automotive X Prize. For this reason the Twike will be developed further and will be tagged Twike IV. The topspeed of the Twike IV should reach almost 130km/h respectively 80 mph. The price is renumerated with 10m USD. More info: http://www.xprize.org/xprizes/automotive_x_prize.html Twike 890

While e-Mobile Motors GmbH is still looking for a new name for the next version of the Twike, it has revealed a picture of the tail of the prototype. It seems that the basic shape follows the design of the Twike III. To me a promising start. What I do not quite understand is why it is not called Twike 'XXX'. Why would you decide against the name 'Twike'? Because it's built by a company other than Fine Mobile GmbH? Because investors have a say? Because its technically too different?
