Green Car Network Community Update April 2008 Dear Members, This is my second Community Newsletter and I would like to welcome all new members which have found their way to our site. Welcome! The aim of our newsletter is to keep you up-to-date about the latest developments within the community. The last few weeks I've been improving the site and optimized it for better search engine results. This hopefully helps others to find our community more easily. Results of this optimization should become apparent in a couple of months. I've also upgraded the forum software and it is now possible to subscribe to an entire forum. This feature is very useful if you want to be notified of any new posts in a certain forum. More improvements are planned with the next forum software release. We also had our first SPAM forum entry which I had to remove. So far we've been quite lucky and spam abuse was not an issue. Hope it stays that way... What I am working on at the moment: I am planning to add a feature which enables users to buy and sell electric or eco-friendly cars. The service is free and helps community members to search for a car or to sell their car. I haven't nailed down a release date yet, as I am busy with other issues as well. I will be starting a new job soon and this means I will have to relocate from England to Switzerland. The move is a great possibility to switch to a more sustainable lifestyle. I have several ideas on how to achieve this. The days of driving a petrol car are numbered and the countdown is on. Hope I see many of you online soon again.
