This blog claims that in an interview with Ian Clifford, Zenn Motors exec, he proposed a plan to convert most or all the New York City taxicabs to all-electric vehicles using the EEstor supercapacitor.

Of course, this is still pie-in-the-sky planning until a third party actually verifies EEstor's claims of disruptive technology ultracapacitor. But this is enuff to get me excited again-- with this plan, we wouldn't need to wait the 20 years or so it would take for most people to wear out their "gassers" and buy an electric car as their *next* vehicle. They could convert the one they already own!

I wish it would come true! But...it's just from a blog and we are still waiting for that 3rd party validation...but I don't give up hope!

But why not switch to an electric car now? The technology is here and most of the driving we do today can be done electrically. I know, availability of electric cars are limited, but why not switch to a smaller, more efficient car or a hybrid? Or better: A real electric car, see http://www.evfinder.com
Best: No car at all! icon_wink.gif
