I recently went to see the Think City which was on display at the LifeFair in Zurich this month.
My plan was to test drive it while at the Fair, but unfortunately this was not possible as the location did not allow it. Nevertheless it was great to see this car once live.
One of the first things I've noticed is the plastic body of the car. Its surface is a bit rougher than what we are used to, but hey why not something else? We've had shiny sheet metal surfaces for centuries, so its time for a change. It actually looks kinda 'smart'. The interior looks like a normal car. The main difference is that when you turn the 'ignition' key, there is silence.
The first few cars will be sold through the company KWO which produces electricity from hydropower. After that another distributor is probably taking over. Think Global is currently in talks with potential companies.
The final price tag has not yet been announced but it will be around €25'000 plus the the battery leasing.
